WEEDS FOR WINTER WELLNESS

Simple, powerful, and right on your doorstep

Friday 3rd Oct at 7pm

Come join me for a talk on all things wellness where I'll show you which common weeds on your doorstep can keep your family healthy this winter - no fancy equipment needed, just what's growing in the hedgerows, trees, and cracks in the pavement.

Are you looking for ways to move towards a more natural way of well-being?

I don't do complicated. This talk is all about easy and simple ways to keep you healthy this winter season.

You arrive into work to a chorus of snizzles and sneezes around you.

Your immediate reaction: "ah shit, here we go again"

Because you know Mary over there is about to share her germs with the entire office, and within a week you'll be the one calling in sick and even worse, missing out on your weekend plans.

What if instead of waiting for that scratchy throat to arrive, you got a bit proactive?

And no, you won't need to travel to the far end of the world to forage, we'll be discussing how to use what's already available right on your doorstep to boost your immune system and keep you fit as a fiddle.

As the days start to get shorter. It's getting to that time of year again...

  • Everyday weeds with extraordinary powers
Easy-to-find plants growing right outside your door that support your immune system through winter

  • Kitchen medicine magic
How to turn simple cupboard spices into powerful wellness boosters

  • A one-pot winter syrup recipe
Stop fussying over fancy tools. Something nourishing you can make today to support you and your family

  • Fire cider without the heat
My favourite immune-boosting tonic and how to tweak it for heat-sensitive taste buds

  • Linking it all together
A sneak peek at one or two herbs featured in this month’s Wisdom from the Wild subscription box. So if you're already getting the boxes, you can deepen your connection to what’s already arriving at your door. And if not, you get a taster of what the subscription involves

What you'll learn about:

Why should you care?

Because right now you're probably one of two people: either you're already reaching for the expensive supplements every time someone coughs near you, or you're crossing your fingers and hoping for the best until you inevitably get knocked sideways by whatever's going around.

What if instead you had a proper toolkit of remedies that actually work, cost next to nothing, and are literally growing around you right now? No more panic-buying at the chemist, no more feeling helpless when everyone around you is dropping like flies.

This isn't about becoming some hardcore forager - it's about knowing which everyday plants can actually help you and your family stay well, using stuff you probably already have in your kitchen press alongside what's growing in your garden.

Meet my past students and clients

Hannah - Midwife

I have always thought it was very sad that most of us have lost the skill that our ancestors had- to correctly ID herbs and understand their benefits

I am quite into my skincare and I have spent a lot of money on natural products. I am so excited that I now know how to start making my own. This not only saves me a large amount of money, but my skin is absolutely glowing from the products I’ve made so far.

Ellen -Yoga Teacher

I am a yoga teacher and very interested in connecting with the old traditions, those of our ancestors as well as connecting to the land. I find it fascinating that our plant allies are so over looked and really want to be apart of the revolution of bringing them back and advocating for safer and more natural medicines/ creams etc!

I work with many herbs now for my own health, it's liberating and takes the fear/ doubts out of working with herbs, the course makes it so doable!!

I founded Yarrow Lane to tackle two huge obstacles in herbal education: accessibility and affordability. I'm a weed lover, dirty chai addict, and someone who genuinely gets excited talking about plants (ask anyone who's been on a walk with me!). My journey started in my gran's house where her cupboards were full of mysterious bottles and homemade remedies that had been passed down through our family. I believe learning the language of plant medicine is your birthright and has the power to heal yourself and your community.
